REAP Indonesia Update July - December 2018

 

Greetings and blessed New Year in Jesus' name. Our prayer is that you will continue to experience the abundance of God's grace in everything. Thank you for partnering in advancing the gospel in Indonesia - the world's most populous Muslim country.

The combined efforts of 18 REAP Indonesia evangelists has yielded:
- over 39,000 gospel tracts distributed
- over 36,000 verbally given the gospel
- over 2,900 conversions to Christ, and
- over 650 baptised

Praise the Lord for the continued sowing and harvesting. Below are your REAP evangelist's reports for your prayers and thanksgiving. 

 

M

M is a 47 year old male who is married and has four children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) More new believers to be added to the church
2) The 28 newly baptised members, to grow stronger and be faithful to God
3) My oldest child, she is expecting the delivery of her first baby
4) My children who are still studying will be able to get a good job after completing their studies
5) Our pastor, that God's anointing will always be with him

God is good and all glory belongs to Him. There are some members who have been to church for a long time but this year (2018) many have come forward to praise and testify God's goodness in their lives and family. Pray that they will be able to pass this message to their neighbours and family about God's goodness so that many will come to the Lord through them. 

 

AS

A is a 38 year old male who is married with three children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) My evangelism ministry, that it will bear much fruit for the kingdom
2) More people will come to hear and be exposed to the gospel. Indonesia has a huge population and the government allows different religions. 
3) New believers to grow and be strong in their faith
4) Good health for me and my family - physically and spiritually
5) Faithfulness and patience in my ministry work 

Thank the Lord that a miracle has happened in my family. My son was suddenly taken ill. We fasted and prayed for God's healing grace. Now he is declared free from the virus. To God be the glory!

 

M 

M is a 40 year old male who is married with one child.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The students in the community school environment, that we will be able to share the gospel to them freely. Pray that their hearts will be opened to the gospel.
2) Me, that my family will support my ministry work wholeheartedly
3) Good health and God's protection for my family
4) Unity among church leaders and the members for God's glory
5) The believers to be strong in their faith and will be living testimoniess to their family and friends 

One evening during a youth ministry, when I was preaching a youth suddenly shouted and screamed for forgiveness. I came down from the pulpit and with the help of a few youths we were able to hold him and calm him down. I prayed for God to set him free from this demonic spirit. I came to know that his family worship evil spirits. Now he has accepted Christ. Praise be to God! So now whenever we have youth ministry we include healing and deliverance as well. 

 

S

S is a 41 year old male who is a widower with one child.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) An increase in the members in our church. Pray that the members will grow well in their faith.
2) The renovation that we will be carrying out in our church. Pray also for the pastors that they will be good shepherds to the flocks.
3) Good health for my parents and my only child
4) Me, the Lord to strengthen and continue to use me as a witness for Christ. Pray that I will be able to bring many into God's kingdom through God's help.
5) Our grieving brothers in S, where their church was attacked by a suicide bomber.

I was sent to serve among the D tribe who are idol worshippers. By the grace of God and the boldness and strength He gave me that I was able to share the gospel to this tribal group who are hardhearted. May the message that I gave will stir their hearts to come to Jesus Christ soon. These D people are quite hard to penetrate but with God everything is possible so in God's time everything will work out well. To God be the glory!

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) More souls from other faiths will come to know the true God through our sharing of the gospel.
2) God's provision for the renovation work of our church. Pray that the members will give generously.
3) Good health for me and my family and that our serving will the fruitful.
4) Me, that I will be able to overcome challenges in my ministry and will not buckle.
5) God's protection upon the younger generations from vices and bad habits.

Praise God! We are thankful that all our seats in our church are filled after constant fasting and praying. Many attending are unbelievers who have yet to give their hearts to Jesus Christ. Pray that God will give them the boldness and strength to accept him as Lord and Saviour. Many are from the M faith. It is very wrong if they convert to another faith. Pray that the Holy Spirit will show them which is the true God. God in his time will make all things possible. Amen!
