REAP Sarawak Evangelists Report for July - December 2017

 

Once again we greet you in Jesus' matchless and powerful name. The Lord bless you and your ministries mightily. 

We give thanks for the bounteous sowing and harvesting together in the interiors of Sarawak. The collective labour of 120 evangelists saw:
- over 72,000 evangelized
- over 48,000 gospel tracts distributed 
- over 24,000 conversions to Christ
- over 11,000 baptisms
- over 4,100 bibles sent, and
- over 280 new rural churches planted

All glory to God and thank you for prayers and support to make the above possible. We press on towards the speediest evangelization of Sarawak for Christ. Below are reports from your evangelists for prayers and thanksgiving. 

LAC

LAC is a 55 year old man who is married and has four children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The new believers to grow stronger each day in the Lord and they will not be ashamed of the gospel
2) The discipleship training for the young believers
3) Deliverance for those who are still in the bondage of alcohol
4) Believers will have the desire to do evangelism work at home and in their work place
5) God to provide all my daily needs

Glory to God for the financial support and praise God to hear that the family who had doubts in God after accepting Christ were delivered from their unbelief. Praise be to God! 

BL
BL is a 48 year old man who is married with three children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Those who have heard the gospel, to grow strong in the Lord
2) Pastor T who is helping me in the discipleship training
3) Church building at T, which we are still building
4) Believers old and new will learn to share the gospel where they have the right opportunity
5) My daily needs and travelling expenses

Glory be to God for His guidance and protection in my ministry work. It is very risky travelling by boat. It is quite unpredictable, at times the currents are very strong and I tend to throw up. Thank God for giving me the patience and strength to carry on His work. Hallelujah! 

JAG

JAG is a 34 year old married man.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The new believers to grow spiritually in the Lord
2) Those who have been evangelised but yet to receive Christ
3) Good follow up on those that we have shared the gospel with
4) Good discipleship training for new believers
5) The needs of my family

I thank God for setting many new believers free from the clutches of the evil one. Praise be to God! 

BAA

BAA is a 28 year old single man.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) New believers to grow strong spiritually and not be ashamed of the gospel
2) Unity of church leaders
3) The children who are sitting for their UPSR, PT3 and SPM exams this year
4) More village heads will open their hearts for the gospel
5) The young people to be successful in getting a permanent job in private or public sectors

Thank God many that we prayed for healing were healed. This has opened the eyes of those that have doubts about Jesus' power. Pray that these people will not love Jesus just because of miracles but love Him eternally.  

RAE

RAE is a 26 year old single woman.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The new believers will share their beliefs to others and will not fear
2) The discipleship training for the new believers will bear much fruit
3) The new area selected for evangelism work
4) All believers to be united in one spirit for God's glory
5) My daily needs and travelling expenses

Glory be to God. It has been very encouraging when we see our work in new believers being fruitful. There is this one couple who were not able to discard all items related to their old belief fearing angering their old god. After much explanation and teaching they discarded all their old beliefs. Praise be to God! 

RAM

RAM is a 45 year old woman who is recently widowed.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) New believers to grow in the Lord
2) Discipleship ministry
3) My family after the passing away of my husband that it would not prevent me from serving God
4) Blessing and protection for the year 2017
5) Those involved in social issues

Praise God. God has been with me all the while. I have been encouraged by all the care given by the church after my husband went to the Lord. 

JM

JM is a 54 year old man who is married.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Those that have heard the gospel will receive Christ in God's time
2) The follow-up report of our evangelists doing God's work, especially on believers and those that have received Christ and yet to be baptised
3) Unity among the leadership 
4) My family, we will be transferring to B R S where we are intending to minister to the youth

Thanks be to God for keeping me and my family from any harm and danger as we have to travel into unchartered water to minister. Travelling in Sarawak is not easy due to bad roads, hilly terrain and bad people. God has protected us from all these. Thank you Lord. 

M

M is a 42 year old male who is married with four children.

Pray for:
1) The new believers will not fear in telling others of their new faith
2) Oneness in spirit for those that are serving the Lord
3) The discipleship training for new believers, so that they will grow stronger in the Lord
4) God's people to have a burden for the lost souls in Sarawak
5) My children will do well in their studies

Glory be to God. It is very heartening to see and hear more believers coming out to serve the Lord in other places. They now understand the importance of evangelisation to save many souls for God. 

JAJ

JAJ is a 29 year old widow with two children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) My health
2) Peace and stability in our country
3) Christians in my area of service, will stand firm in the Lord
4) Me, that my income will be a great help to my family
5) God to fill his people in Sarawak with the Holy Spirit

Glory to God in giving us the Spirit of perseverence to evangelise to these people who are seeking God as most of them are young people who believe in animism and spirits. The people from another faith are trying every way to evangelise to these people so we Christians are also boldy proclaiming Jesus.

DM

DM is a male who is married with two children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) New believers to be strong in the Lord
2) More evangelists for K S and nearby areas
3) Believers to continue with their faith and follow God's Word
4) Sunday worship to have more members and be more fruitful
5) Children in Sunday school to have God's wisdom and be fruitful

Glory be to God! I thank God for giving me his wisdom and perseverance. I am able to share God's word with the unbelievers. Praise be to God!
