Diapers
We are so happy to experience the goodness and gracious provision of our Lord in fulfilling the needs of our Syrian and Iraqi brothers and sisters. Many of the families we met and know were in urgent need of diapers for their newborns and small toddlers. Several others had a similar need for their elderly diabetes family members. God has blessed us by putting this on the heart of some donors who with their gifts enabled us to purchase a good number of quality diapers for these precious families. Pray with us that God will stir more hearts to give to secure more diapers for the beneficiaries of this project.
Iraqi Refugee Computer Skills Class Graduation
What a great joy it has been to recently witness, rejoice and celebrate the graduation of 15 of our computer skills class students, young and adult, who were happy and keen to learn and develop their skills over a course of 9 months. Pray with us that our Lord opens the right doors for them according to His good will and purpose. “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13
Student Testimony:
“My name is Raeda, I am a housewife and mother to a boy and three girls. We arrived in Jordan a year and half ago. When I heard about the Vocational Education & Training Centre program of English & Computer courses I decided to become a student again, to learn and gain knowledge and skills in two of the subjects I know nothing about but few alphabet letters. Reflecting on my year here, I have grown significantly as a person and a student. I am grateful for all I’ve learned, and encourage all the refugees in this area to enroll and benefit from this program while we wait for our destination.”
1) Pray for future plans to go to the camp in Ramtha near the Syrian border for distribution of hygiene kits, school supplies, food parcels and winter items.
2) PRAY for our three Christmas children’s activities programs. There will be two in Jordan - one in a church, another in an orphanage, and the third in the West Bank town of Beit Sahour for an estimated 1,000 children. These special and much loved programs will include storytelling, hot meals, sweets packs, hygiene kits - and perhaps gifts, if we receive sufficient funds.
3) Pray for our RWCP (Refugee Winter Care Package) Program; as we pray to reach hundreds of the displaced families providing them with the basics winter care supplies (heaters, blankets, clothes and food parcels) for them to feel the Father’s love and warmth as the weather is getting colder to live well, be safe and avoid sickness.
Thank you for your compassion and for your friendship. You are a constant encouragement to all of us at Manara International. May the God of peace be with you and those you love.
