REAP Sabah, Malaysia Evangelists Report for January - July 2023

Shalom and a blessed Christmas and joyful and fruitful New Year to you. We give thanks for your support for the rural evangelists in Sabah. There has been a change of leadership in SIB Sabah and a delay in coordination. 

We nevertheless thank you for your steadfast support and prayers. The combined labour of 44 REAP Sabah evangelists yielded:
- over 74,600 evangelised
- over 15,500 conversions to Christ
- over 5,500 baptised
- 149 rural churches planted, and
- 7,200 bibles sent to new believers.

Praise God for the continuing harvest and thank you once again.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The members will remain faithful to the Lord Almighty
2) Our house church leaders to be faithful and responsible in their duties
3) The house church leaders who are quite reluctant to attend Bible college. Pray that the Holy Spirit will trigger them of this calling so that they will be more versed in God's Word. 
4) The Lord to help us in raising sufficient funds to build the church at LT
5) God's provisions for all believers in Christ. With no change in their income, they are struggling with the price hike in basic needs. 

Our ministry started in 2020, at that time we had a service in the home of one of the members. The leader faced resistance when he suggested building a church in that place. Now I have taken over that area and I am praying for a breakthrough that my suggestion of building a church there will come true by God's grace. Now we were given the approval to build but now the problem is money to build it. With the cost of living going through the roof, members are not able to help much in terms of finance. We are still praying for God to open up a way to get the money and build a church here so that the members here can worship the Lord in one permanent place. With the numbers growing, the member's home cannot accommodate all of them. Now this burden is on me, and I have cast it to the Lord to shoulder it. He will make a way where there seemed to be no way. I believe in that and in God's time it will be built. Amen!

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Me and my family to have the strength and wisdom in serving the Lord faithfully
2) The new believers will hunger for God's word and presence and will meditate on His word daily
3) The new extension that we are building to accommodate the increase in members. The extension work will go on smoothly without any obstacles from the evil one. 
4) God's provision for my family and for all the members in my church
5) God's will and purposes upon my life and my family will be accomplished in due time

Praise the Lord and we are thankful for He has taken us through the many obstacles and challenges we have faced in the beginning of 2023. We can feel and see the power of God working in our midst. Thanks be to God for being with us in our time of need. 

We also thank God that we are able to bring all those that have backslidden back to church. Many are already getting themselves involved in church activities. I also thank God that I was able to bring the lost into God's kingdom with God's grace.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) God to give me strength and courage in preaching the gospel in any circumstances
2) Some of the members in our church who are not coming to church on a regular basis. God to prompt them of this bad habit. Fellowshipping together is what God wants. 
3) All the youth in the church to have the courage and desire to be part of all the church activities for God's glory
4) God to provide all our needs and answering our prayers according to His will and purposes
5) Protection and safety for us as we need to travel by river to share the gospel in the interior

I am new to evangelism work but praise the Lord for the work of the Holy Spirit. With God's grace I was able to bring into God's kingdom 14 lost souls. Now all these 14 are attending baptismal classes to understand why they need baptism. Out of it, 7 are in the ICM discipleship class. Praise be to God! May God's strength and wisdom be with them. 

With a grateful heart I would like to thank you for your love in supporting me financially. May God's abundance be with you. Amen!

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The new believers will grow spiritually well with God's leading
2) Me, that I am able to overcome all the challenges that I am facing serving in this ministry. Pray that God's presence and peace will be with me whenever I share the gospel. 
3) The congregation to have a deeper hunger for the Lord and His Word. That they will attend church regularly and be more prayer minded. 
4) Protection and safety upon all evangelists who have to travel into the interiors of Sabah to share the gospel. At times the journey is not safe, especially when the river is not smooth. 
5) God's provisions upon all of us believers in Sabah. People are struggling due to the high food cost. 

I want to give thanks to God for His love for me. I also thank Him for giving me the opportunity to serve Him. Sometime when I felt weak while serving Him, I remembered His Word and meditate on them and through prayer, my strength returned. Please uphold me in your prayers. I want to be a winner for God's kingdom. Thank you. God bless you.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Our church congregation to grow well in their faith and trust
2) Me, I intend to get a motorbike to travel into the interior of Sabah to share the gospel. Waiting for public transport is quite hard and not safe. Pray that I will be able to get the right funds to get a bike. 
3) The Lord to bless me and my wife with strength, patience, and faithfulness as we serve Him. 
4) That the Lord will meet all of our financial needs because our responsibilities are getting heavier and tough to handle
5) The Lord to lead us to the people that He wants the gospel to be shared to. 

2023 is a meaningful year for me personally because the Lord taught me to appreciate more deeply the ministry that was given to me. I saw the vision and mission to develop and build up the congregation This spurred me to work harder to build up the church and to be a better leader. Thanks and glory belong to the Lord.

Pray for:
1) The smooth administration during my identity card process by the NRD department
2) The family of NL to remain firm in Christ and will not fall back to their old belief during trying times
3) The setup of a new cell group in BP
4) Thank God for the fruitful year in my ministry work. I am glad that we are able to reap many souls into God's kingdom.
5) Our church's car that is under repair. Pray that the repair will be smooth and the cost reasonable

I thank God for His help in giving me strength and courage to reach new souls with the gospel. I am glad that I was able to bring in 13 lost souls into God's kingdom. To God be the glory!
