Greetings in the Lord’s name, thank you for your prayers.
Good News
I have good news to give thanks and praise for. Among the 25 new believers during our Sunday School for all ages, 13 young men and women were baptized on 31st March. Mumba Mulenga, to the right as the baptizer, testified that he gave his life to the Lord at the age of 7 years, and undertook public confession in water baptism at 12 years.
In other good news, the young women in the photo are from a less privileged background in the community but they have been accepted in the high institution of learning university, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
Not so Good News
On sadder news, nature beyond our human control has stricken again. Things are not going well as we have been affected by the rains. The whole country, all 11 provinces, haven't had any rain since December 2023, and as a result hunger is hanging over many families. Surprisingly, on the 23rd of March in the middle of the night, it began to rain in Maputo province. By 7am on 24th March the community was under water. The photo is outside the mission centre property. The church building is fine except we may need rewiring to all buildings.
Sunday school Material, Emmaus Bible correspondence and discipleship material has been destroyed.
Holiday Club
On 20 December 2023 we brought the children together for a week. We presented the Gospel to them and continue with them in Sunday School during the year. December Holiday Club is a memorable moment for the children.
1) Pray with us, there is a need to reprint most of the material for discipleship.
2) To renovate for future protection of material for the ministry.
3) Water defence to the mission centre.
4) Besides the mission centre we also have five grandmothers who care for orphans, and another couple that need help. These women have worked alongside with us in the community. There is need for gravel soil, blocks, cement, and sand to rebuild.
Yours in Christ Jesus.
