Recent Events

Four students will be completing their Primary Health Worker training on 27th February and three more are going to be enrolled for this year. Two candidates have already been here with us for the last two months, learning animal farming and crop cultivation. On 26th February Dr Ajungla, Benjong, Dr Moa Jamir, the two trainees and myself will be going to Woodland Nursing Home in Mokokchung for the pass out and new induction programme.

Medical Camp

caring for physical and spiritualLast October a team was led to Arunachal Pradesh for a Medical Camp as well as Church Revival. During the revival and medical camp we recognized some pressing needs of the people there. Moktua Baptist Church has opened a primary school in a thatch house without proper school benches and desks. There are five classrooms (Class A-3) but only three teachers. Our Mission Board decided to support the school by providing 25 school benches and desks, and five tables, chairs and blackboards. We also committed to support the Headmaster salary Rs. 8000 monthly.

Right now we are in the process of collecting the raw materials and in two weeks the required furniture will be ready. On 13th March 2016, during our Mission Sunday, we are going to dedicate the furniture and on 14th March, along with these materials I shall be leaving for Arunachal for a few days. When comparing the cost for the required furniture it worked out cheaper to get it here and the quality will also be better. This is the reason why we are making all the furniture here and then transporting it to Moktua.

Plans for the Future

At least one medical camp is to be conducted during this year 2016 in the most needed area of the Indo-Myanmar border.

Three Dhai students will be trained this year 2016 at Woodland Nursing Home.
