Mission Trip to Chainat
In August we had our yearly mission trip to Chainat, a province in Thailand located three hours away from Bangkok, with a goal to love and to serve a school consisting of 129 students. Nong Ta Keaw school is a government school and we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the authorities. We took a few of our women with us along with the staff. It was a one day trip where we spent time with the students teaching songs, playing games, talking about Jesus, and blessing them with gifts. There was so much joy and laughter and it was delightful to see everyone having a great time.
Later when we asked our Rahab women what they thought about the trip, most of the women mentioned that they learned the importance of giving back. One of them said, "All my life I only enjoyed receiving from people. I never cared or bothered sharing or giving back. But through this trip I have learnt how important it is to give and share and it gives us so much joy."
Another lady said, "It felt like one big family. I just wanted the kids to have fun. And it was nice to see them having a good time."
It was a blessing for the Rahab team to be able to spend time with this beautiful community.
Another powerful story from this trip was when the principal personally wrote to us saying she has learned so much about giving after watching us loving and giving to the school. She mentioned that she will live that out in her life. Praise God!
