Update from John and Nok 21 December 2024

Merry Christmas and warmest greetings from Thailand!

reaching peopleAs we approach the end of 2024, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for your faithful partnership over the past decade. While I regret not being more consistent in our communication, your unwavering support has meant the world to us. Your friendship and partnership have been such a blessing.

I'm excited to share that we are witnessing an extraordinary season of ministry in Thailand. The Lord is moving in unprecedented ways, and we are humbled to be part of His work. Through the power of social media and technology, we are seeing remarkable breakthroughs in reaching people with the Gospel. Geographic barriers and time constraints that once limited ministry have virtually disappeared. With just a few taps on their phones, Thai people can now access Biblical teaching, join community, and experience God's presence in powerful ways. The Holy Spirit is truly at work, confirming His Word as promised.

Your generous support has been instrumental in making all of this possible. Every contribution you have made has rippled out to transform countless Thai lives for Christ. The enclosed newsletter will give you a more detailed glimpse of the amazing things God has done this year through your partnership.

Online Ministry Journey

reaching people onlineFor the past 20 years, my husband and I worked as church pastors, ministering through traditional church buildings. However, since 2019, we've embraced online ministry, discovering an incredible opportunity to reach people who previously couldn't engage with traditional church structures.

Online Meetings and Livestreams

- We now have over 10,000 YouTube followers
- Conduct three weekly online meetings catering to different member needs
- Wednesday meetings (8pm - midnight) focus on life stories, personal transformations and spiritual growth
- Friday Bible study sessions with live streaming
- Approximately 100 live participants
- 600-1,000 views of recorded sessions
- Monday livestreams dedicated to sharing the Gospel, emphasizing personal relationship with Jesus

Expanding Reach and Impact

- Distributing approximately 200 free Bibles monthly
- Reaching demographics traditionally disconnected from church: police officers, night workers, sex workers, young adults working in nightlife

Laos Ministry Expansion

- Printed Lao-language Bibles and prayer materials which are stored securely in border provinces
- Unique opportunity with minimal resistance
- Political connections enabling free proclamation in various settings

- Most conversions happen within families
- Average age of online followers: 30-40 years
- Rapid spiritual growth through accessible digital platforms
- Miraculous healings and spiritual experiences reported

We understand that many New Zealanders might be sceptical about online relationships and ministry. We want to emphasize that for Thai and Laotian people, online connection is natural, cost-effective, and incredibly impactful.
