testingMasoyi Home Based Care COVID Update (RSA03)

It's been a long time since we last spoke but all of us in the organisation are well, although the spread of COVID-19 in our area has reached close including a close hospital and a school close to our center. Our peer educators are currently working at the school to sanitise and screen the teachers and learners. However, we are also at high risk because in one of the schools we facilitated one teacher was found with the virus but we are continuing with work as usual serving the Lord.

We are thankful to the Bright Hope World team that you are still supporting us in this tough time. At K3 we are specializing in sewing face masks and our volunteers are still doing work as usual, some are helping the local hospitals with screening of the coronavirus. We also have a team that does follow-up on patients who do not collect their pills. Pat is specialising with HIV testing for men.

testingWe have a private clinic that supports 50 children for food parcels but we have not yet opened the preschool and kindergarten, only Grade 7 and 12 are going to school. We thank God for those who continue to support the organisation.

Please receive the attached pictures of our facilitators who are working at schools and pictures of the face masks we produce. Last month we were able to sew face masks for our volunteers and we had an order for 850 masks from Kruger to sew for traditional leaders which was a huge success because it enabled us to be able to pay our volunteers stipend.

I wanted to give you an update on what is going on in the organisation. Please pray for us since you know that we work in the community and as you know it is dangerous for someone my age.
