Thank you for your consistent prayer and support. We are excited to update you on what has been happening at Rahab community and the way God is moving.
We had a blessed Christmas party in December. 30 women joined us and we were happy to have our wellwishers with us as well. We played games, sang songs, and heard a powerful testimony from one of the women working in the bars. We also heard a wonderful message about Jesus and His love for us and we ended our party with a special Christmas feast.
It was overwhelming and encouraging to see joy in all the women's faces as they left their pain and sadness aside and were just enjoying being themselves in freedom. This is what we would love to one day see in all the women. The freedom to be themselves and live life because that is what God has called us to be.
"You my brother and sisters were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather serve one another humbly in love." Galatians 5:13
N.B: Huge thanks to our friends Chanel from America and Eden Ministry for the Christmas gifts. All the women loved it!
Jae is always the first person to reach Rahab whenever we have Bible studies and parties. A few weeks before the Christmas party, when she found out that all the women would be presenting a Thai Christmas song called 'Full love' at Rahab Christmas party, she was so happy. She learned this song at Rahab Christmas party in 2016 and has loved it since then. The song talks about God's love for us.
"Bethlehem is filled with sadness and darkness but Jesus came to bring light. Jesus loves us so much that He came to bring light in the darkness."
Jae compared this song to Thailand and said, "Thailand is filled with darkness, but God has come to bring light, mercy and grace. This song gives me peace, joy and love. Jesus is here to take away my sin, my shame and my pain. He is here to bring light in the darkness. This gives me hope." This song will always be very special to her.
Women like Jae give us motivation to continue doing what we are doing.
Pond was with Rahab for two years. She is very creative and has always been interested in makeup and hairstyling. Last year in November, we helped set up her own salon and also found her accomodation in an apartment above her salon. Her business is going quite well. We are so grateful to God and blessed to be a part of her journey.
We request you to kindly join us in praying for the following needs:
1) Women: Pray that women will get to know Christ and leave the bars. And through our Bible study and outreach we will be able to reach out to many more women.
2) Rahab team: Pray for good health, unity and to hear God's voice and direction.
3) Rahab laundry shop: Pray that God will provide us the right location and finances to start a second laundry shop.
4) Rahab products: Pray for more marketing opportunities for our products.
