On behalf of the Fountain of Hope team, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Bright Hope World for the unwavering support you continue to render to our communities, children, and young people across Zimbabwe. Your partnership is not just financial — it is a lifeline of dignity, hope, and transformation.
Through your generosity, families are being lifted from poverty, children are being restored to safety and opportunity, and young people are being equipped with skills that ignite hope for a brighter future. The support you provide restores dignity where it was lost, strengthens fragile households, and gives communities the courage to dream again.
We are deeply inspired by the way your involvement has empowered Fountain of Hope to stand with downtrodden communities. This commitment has not gone unnoticed — the Government of Zimbabwe has recognized the impact of our work and has invited Fountain of Hope to participate in Livelihood Assessment exercises.
We thank God for the testimonies being written in Makamure, Peniel, Mthombothemba, Chikofa, Heany, Majiji, and Mtshazo. Lives are being challenged, changed, and renewed. Hope is rising where despair once reigned.
Thank you, Bright Hope World, for standing with us. Together, we are not only transforming communities — we are shaping the future of Zimbabwe.
The Makamure Transformation Centre serves as a lifeline for 230 children from the community. This school was once a place of despair, where children dropped out due to hunger, poor infrastructure, and lack of water. Many who attended struggled to succeed because of these challenges.
With Bright Hope World's support, the school now has a reliable source of water. This breakthrough has attracted qualified teachers, improved learning conditions, and dramatically raised the pass rate.
The school garden flourishes, ensuring that children who arrive on empty stomachs are fed. In addition, our team provides daily meals for vulnerable children, which has significantly improved attendance and restored dignity to families who once felt hopeless.
The Transformation Centre is not just about education — it is about restoring hope, nurturing faith, and building futures.
Our thrust in Makamure is to ensure that families have enough food throughout the year. With Bright Hope World’s support, we trained 500 farmers this season and provided seed inputs to 250 households.
Despite challenges of waterlogging in some areas, Makamure became the top communal area in Chivi District for harvests this year. Families who once faced hunger are now celebrating meaningful yields. This achievement means that many households will have food security for the entire year.
Beyond farming success, the program has also brought spiritual transformation. Through Bible study clubs, many farmers have come to Christ, finding not only food for their families but also nourishment for their souls.
Nutritious GardensIn addition to farming plots, nutritious gardens have been established to provide vegetables year-round. Over 150 families rely on these gardens, which are sustained by solar-powered boreholes. These gardens ensure that children and families have access to fresh, healthy food every day.
The gardens are more than a source of nutrition — they are a testimony of God’s provision. Families rejoice as they harvest food from their own land, strengthened by the knowledge that they are no longer dependent on external aid for survival.
Mr Madhuviko was born and raised in Makamure, where he married and started his family. At one time, he worked in Bulawayo as a security guard, but when his company closed, he returned home to Chivi District with his wife and five children — only to face the harsh reality of hunger in a community with below-normal rainfall every year.
When he came back, he discovered that Fountain of Hope was training farmers in Foundations for Farming. He joined eagerly, listening attentively with the desire to make a difference. His commitment paid off: this year, he was crowned the best farmer in the entire district, and a field day was held at his homestead where government officials, chiefs, headmen, and community members gathered to learn from his example.
Even more inspiring, Mr. Madhuviko has become a Christian, using farming as a platform to share the love of God. His homestead is now a place where people discover both physical food and spiritual nourishment.
In his own words:
“When I lost my job in Bulawayo, I thought my family’s future was finished. But God showed me that farming could restore our hope.”
“Foundations for Farming taught me that with faith and hard work, even dry land can produce abundance.”
“Today, I am not only feeding my children — I am helping my community know Christ through farming.”
Makamure has moved from despair to hope. Children are learning in a safe environment, families are harvesting food, and communities are experiencing both physical and spiritual renewal.
Thank you, Bright Hope World, for your unwavering support. Your partnership has turned Makamure into a testimony of transformation — where education, farming, and faith converge to build a brighter future.
