Micro-loans

It has been several months since we distributed the micro-loans that BHW sponsored and I have recently gotten reports from the regions, including pictures of the recipients at work. We have compiled this into an excel spreadsheet, including pictures.

Several of the leaders shared the spiritual testimonies of those who received the loans, sharing how this is opening doors for the ministry, and increasing the confidence of the women.

Just two weeks ago, we distributed the macro-loans to four groups of men, including our men's ministry leaders. One group is starting a goat and chicken business. Another is starting a fish and hydroponic vegetable business. Another group, with their wives, are starting a cafe (this is like a buffet where people serve themselves). The fourth group has a bird shop, selling birds and food.  Because they are just starting, we do not have pictures yet, but I will pass those along when we receive them.

Seedling Project

The seedling project has also begun and some seedlings have already been distributed, enabling women to grow vegetables on their porch or side yard, feeding their family and sometimes their neighbours. Our ongoing training helps us stay in contact with the areas where the seedlings were distributed.

We also just got in the reports that from 64 clusters of groups last year, we now have 90 clusters, including eight men's clusters, and 14 brand new areas. Thank you for supporting our new area outreaches. Our total numbers have increased 30% in the past 6 months. Thank you so much for your part in this!

Comments

I hope these few pictures are encouraging to you. It is so exciting to me to see women, once struggling and hopeless, to find hope in Jesus and to be given the opportunity to work and support their children.

May God bless you!
