Report from Efrain July - September 2022

Recent Events

July

busy timeThe month of July began by celebrating the birthday of Josías, our son, and Zacarías, a student of the Biblical Faculty. Three young ladies from the church were also baptized. During that month the students at the Bible School returned to their homes and churches to do internships. We had planned to go to Cochabamba to teach a subject, but for this year that course was closed so we changed our trip to Tarija, where we visited a Pulmonologist for Abigail. They changed her treatment for her lungs, and we have noticed that it has been better for her, although she is still not fully recovered.

During our stay in Tarija, we enjoyed visiting the adolescent camp, and seeing the organization of those who one day were our little students in the pre-adolescent class. We also visited the brothers from Florida who were preparing for the special meetings that were coming up. We also visited a kids club where despite the cold, the children were in the whole class.

August

needed more seatsIn the month of August we travelled to Huacareta to share the Word at the regional conference that they organized. It was nice to see many brothers gathered, the room was small, but we enjoyed giving and receiving the Word of God together with the brothers from various places.

In our visits to Santa Rosa, we encourage the brothers to study the Emmaus courses, and they are doing so. We trust that the study of the Word of God will make them grow, mature and bear fruit for the Lord. We also built, with the support of other brothers, four benches since there was no longer a place for the brothers to sit in the meetings.

September

The month of September was full of activities, preparing material, dramas, and illustrated presentations for an evangelistic fair, and for the support trip that we make with the students of the Biblical Faculty. This year we visited several churches and ministries near the city from Santa Cruz. We also entered some schools where we presented different programs and shared the gospel with people. It was a nice time, a little tiring, but we believe it was fruitful.

We stayed a few days to share with the family and visit the dentist.

specialised subjectTechnical School (BLV03)

The technical school has commenced the second semester. Unfortunately, some students dropped out for work and health reasons. We have already advanced two subjects, and they are currently passing Small Engines with a teacher specialized in the subject. The boys like it and the purchase of three motorcycle engines, along with other machines that the students brought, enriched the experience during this time.

The next subject is electronic injection and electronic diagnosis.

Student Report

responsible studentLeodan took advantage of the month of July, during the vacation, visiting his family in the countryside as well as supporting a youth camp in Bella Vista. He continues to show a lot of interest and good spirits. Upon returning to classes at the Technical School, he continues to be a diligent and responsible student. With his help, we made some benches for the brothers from Santa Rosa, who were very grateful to receive them.

In the month of September he liked the subject of small engines, and we also started to do a welding job on the roof of a small construction. He is gaining experience and is a good worker. I would like to give him a welding machine or some piece of equipment that could be useful to him when he finishes his studies and starts a business. He still plans to stay in Camiri for a while.

Prayer Requests:
1) For the salvation of his parents
2) For the health of his mother who has Parkinson's
3) For future plans regarding work and service

Prayer and Praise Points

1) For our family and the ministries we support
2) For the complete recovery of Abigail's lungs
3) For the last modules in the Biblical Faculty and Technical School
4) Equipment for the matter of electronic diagnosis and also small engines
