The year 2020 has been a perplexing year, nevertheless we have been focusing on the Lord and our Lord has been at the forefront of all our activities.
During 2020 11 university students were assisted with education costs, six private college students, and 26 high school students. In addition, three second-hand computers were purchased to assist with online study during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The photo shows some of the young adults who are pursuing their teritary education. It is an awesome team: one computer engineer, one administrator, one journalist, one chemical engineer, one mechanical engineer, four accountants, one lawyer, four teachers, two nurses, one vet, one electrician, one mechanic, and a pharmacist.
Armando Cossa Castigo graduated on 4th December with a BA Degree in Civil Engineering. Five would have graduated but due to COVID-19 some work was not done until 2021.
COVID-19 cases are on the increase, a curfew has been imposed and church gatherings have been suspended until the next review. The economy has been crippled.
On top of this, mother nature the cyclone has demonstrated that she has no discrimination, homes and place of worship have been reduced to ruins. The photos show our church halls in the country which were brought down by the cyclones in the first week of February.
The suffering of the people is deepening every day, not knowing where the next meal will come from. The situation in our country is not good and it is people in those communities with low or no income who suffer the most.
1) Pray that we may love Him more and more
2) For the students being assisted with their education
3) That networks of individual family worship may continue to be strong.
