Special significant events have happened in the last three months as mentioned below. We all, SOWERS teams from different places of our nation, have shared the gospel with 500 people according to collected reports. 980 gospel tracts were distributed. 27 people were baptised.
90 evangelists and leaders have taken refresher leadership training for four days in partnership with, and co-ordinated by, SOWERS Nepal.
A new church building was completed and dedicated at the end of March 2018. This church of 40 members has been established by a SOWERS evangelistic team.
We are continuing in gospel movement at tortoise speed.
We have also been involved in a blood donation program.
Binod Gurung is a new person who is in contact with us from Kathmandu. He is a deacon in his church. He is a trained evangelist in SOWERS methods and is very keen to join as a staff member in our SOWERS team to arrange seminars in our capital city. Please pray for him.
No other workers have joined recently. Currently we are: Dinesh Chand, Hissy Tamang, Prakash Baraili, James Tamang, Ganesh Paudel, Somati Gurung, Hannah Thapa. These brothers and sisters are doing this ministry from church and mission side voluntarily. Living and surviving and meeting their family needs is a challenge for them. They are devoted and special persons for God’s kingdom in Nepal. They are from different denominational church groups and good people in their communities having a good impact among them. They are not employed people except James Tamang and Ganesh Paudel. They are trained through SOWERS methods and keen to win souls and help to arrange seminars for sharing the gospel, so they are suited to be on the team.

Suresh grew up in a strong Hindu family. He accepted Christ at a young age and graduated from Bible College training. He has conducted a year long course at a Leadership Training Centre for seven years. He has a vision to win unreached people to Christ so has been arranging SOWERS training in his Training Center for five days every year. He is also mobilizing students to go out every Sunday so many people are hearing the gospel from this group and accepting Christ in some numbers. The principal of this Training Center, Suresh Koirala, is also partnering for evangelism voluntarily as well.

Nanda was trained in SOWERS evangelism methods in past years. He is joining in SOWERS seminars and collecting experiences about how to share the gospel and how to face problems and situations from groups of non-Christians. Because of his SOWERS training he was strongly influenced about these methods so he is making it his aim to share the gospel by these methods. This seminar and its methods are touching him to share the love of Christ.
His wife is teaching in a private school so this couple is making good time to win souls and they compromise by helping each other in their needs from the family context. This brother has set aside two weeks in a month to share the gospel to unreached people groups. He is conducting a fellowship among 15 people won as he was sharing the gospel in a remote village where there are no churches. It is most necessary to look after those people who have accepted Christ. They need a permanent room, land and hall, so pray for them.
I can say this brother Nanda Sijali's life has been changed by taking evangelism training so that he is keen to share the gospel. He is a volunteer partner with SOWERS now. This brother is giving his life for the gospel and God’s kingdom in West Nepal.
SOWERS seminars are very effective and the seminars are demanded from churches and leaders. We have heard comments from the community in regard to the impact the program is having in the community of churches and Christian leaders that SOWERS evangelism methods are very much effective methods to win souls in huge numbers easily in a short time by sharing multi tools. It has practical, usable and unique methods for evangelism they have said.
There are unreached people who are not hearing the gospel living in mountain and Himalayan places of Nepal. Even though unreached people are in the capital and developing cities in huge numbers there are many established churches who can share the gospel with them easily.
In remote mountain areas with no vehicle access or airport available it is a challenge to reach these people. It takes two weeks to two months to reach them from one district to another district and this is a real challenge in West Nepal. I have a vision to share the gospel with them and to establish churches there.
We want to prepare and send an evangelistic team to those remote villages where there are no churches or evangelists - villages without vehicle road connection as I mentioned above. We are doing a survey to continue in such challenging situations where are living thousands and millions of people.
We want to share our prayer request to raise funding for travelling and accommodation costs for evangelism to reach those remote villages and districts. We are also facing problems raising funds for SOWERS seminars in different places in the country.
We are very much thankful to you for your kindness and love to encourage us for His glorious ministry.
Your beloved brother Nabin and team
