Prayer News March 2017

Recent Events

February School Outreaches

great timeFebruary's outreach to Chainat and Uthai Thani provinces took us to 13 schools where we met 1,416 children and teens. Some small schools gathered together so we could do the program to more students at once. The week felt hard since we had to travel long distances and sleep in different places every night, but the response in schools both from children and teachers was warm and welcoming. We got 488 new sign-ups to the Bible course! Praise the Lord! Thank you for all your prayers.

New Facebook Page and Video Clips

Pray for Nut and Pao who are responsible (under Noinon’s guidance) for a new Facebook page aimed at Thai teens. They have been making short video clips about different topics for this page. This month their topic is Easter. Pray that we would be able to connect with more Thai teens through social media and that God would instruct us how to use this tool wisely for His glory.

Team

enjoying songsEarly in March Noinon and Kanchana packed their bags to travel to New Zealand for a three week trip to connect with supporters in the Wellington area. They have left instructions for others to do the work while they are away and Tossapon will manage the office. Ask God for wisdom and patience for everyone and that things go smoothly.

Please ask for protection for Kanchana during all her travel. Pray that she would hear God’s voice and be encouraged herself when she shares about the Team and her vision for Thai children. Please pray for Noinon that his trip to NZ would be blessed and that he will hear words of wisdom, knowledge, and encouragement from the Lord when he shares about what God is doing through the Team.

Pray also for Jeen who stays in Bangkok with Fahsai and Tawan; she has had many health problems lately.

leaving TeamFarewell to Corin
Corin will be leaving the Team this month and is looking to join a ministry elsewhere. We thank Corin for his four years in the Team and pray that God will lead him when he searches for His will!

Central Thailand

This year we focus our prayers and school library program (sending of magazines) to this large area. Please join us in the spiritual warfare for the unreached people in this area. Also pray that there will be fruit from our February outreach to the two provinces of Central Thailand, Chainat and Uthai Thani.

Saara

Thank you for all your prayers for my pregnancy! Everything has been good so far but as the hot season comes closer I really notice the fatigue hitting when temperatures soar to 37°C. I will be starting maternity leave around the 18th of this month; please continue to pray for a safe and positive delivery experience – this is my first time in Thailand so it adds to the stress factor – and for our whole family during this new season that God has blessed us with. Our girls are excited to welcome a new baby in the household soon!

Personal Stories

great timeThis month we had many letters from teens. Please pray for their issues and ask God to bless them and show his love to them abundantly so that they may be a strong testimony in their families and communities.

Phanitnun (girl, 18)
I’ve been a Christian for 4 years now and I’m so happy to know the Lord. He is with me every day and his timing is always perfect. I believe He will direct my steps, but I also feel afraid to leave the Christian dormitory to begin further studies. What if there are hard times and challenges ahead that make me lose my faith? Can I still stay a good person if I’m living by myself?

Wiphada (girl, 16)
My friend Bon’s dad has cancer. His mum died when he was little and his dad is all he has left. I don’t know how he would manage if his dad died too. Please pray for Bon. I believe that when many people pray together God will hear and help. I feel so bad for my friend. Could you please also pray for my upcoming exams.

Darin (girl, 12)
I would like to be a hardworking person and a good student, but no matter how hard I try it doesn’t seem to help! I cannot solve this by myself. Please God help me and give me wisdom.

Raweewan (girl, 13)
I was driving a motorbike and fell off the road. My friend and a little sister (or brother) were on the bike too, but luckily nothing happened to us. I was scared my mum and dad would yell at me but they didn’t. I was saved by God’s grace. Please pray for my new school, and for my parents that they would believe in God.

Decha (boy, 18)
One day I forgot to take money to school, and I asked God for help. When it was almost lunchtime I put my hand in my bag to grab a pen, but instead I found some money. I don’t know how it had gotten there!

Nanthapon (girl, 13)
I didn’t have any real friends. I prayed to God, and he answered me. Now I have 6 good friends! I’m so thankful. I’ve got a question: what is baptism?

Suchanan (girl, 16)
Formerly I was afraid of evil spirits but when I got to know God the fear vanished. I know He is greater than anything in my life.

Usanee (girl, 17)
School was very hard for me, but when I prayed and asked God for more understanding he answered me! Could you please share some of your real experiences with God? I would like to hear.

Chongkon (girl, 18)
Sorry that I have taken a long break from the lessons! Today I felt I would like to send this lesson back and continue to study. I have felt very distant to God. I watched the VCD you sent me and liked it a lot. It gave me much to think about.

Prathana (girl, 14)
I often had arguments with my mum. After praying about this, we haven’t had arguments!
