Update from Azam

Warmest greetings from Rawalpindi.

Recent Events

Family

By the grace of God we are all fine. Schools are now mostly reopened after long hot holidays. Today was Izia's first day in school. Eliza's school will open next Monday. Azar will take exams next month, he still needs one more year to finish "A level".

Christian Cambridge School

Barbara has also opened the school today for a teachers training workshop which will go until next week. Christian Cambridge School will open for students on 1st September because the children are too small and it is also still the rainy season.

Today we have removed one wall of two classrooms to make one bigger classroom. This is because the number of students is increasing and there is a need for bigger spaces. Thank you so much for your faithful prayers behind this great national educational programme.

Ministry

The work of the Lord is continuing and even in better way and shape. Last Saturday I visited the leprosy hospital after almost thee months and heard the same stories, same suffering, pain, agony, and hardships in the lives of patients. Although I go to pray with Christian patients, sometimes but not always, Muslims male and female come and request prayer for bodily healing,

Last Saturday a muslim lady, 33-35 years of age, when she knew that I prayed with Christians, she asked if she could sit in the meeting also. Sure we all said. When she sat, she shared her story with tears and crying that she was married with three children, 2 girls and a 9 month old boy. When her husband and in-laws found out that she had T.B. they asked her to leave the house and she was sent to her parents. Many times she was beaten and tortured and she was severely sick. Not her husband nor her in-laws supported her in hospital and her parents are old.

When I preached the word of love and comfort she cried bitterly and said many times "Jesus Lord thank you very much that you loved me and died on the cross to save me." She has requested prayer for her health and family restoration.

Like this way God is so faithful and just to give us opportunities to share and preach his Word to the spiritually and physically wounded.

Please pray for the broken hearted that they may find hope and peace in our Master's name and presence. Please continue to lift up the leprosy hospital ministry. Sometimes it is not easy to go into the patients wards, pray that the Lord God will grant me to love and reach out to the people with the love of our Master.

Many salaam to you all

Brother Azam & Barbara
