Update from John and Nok
God is doing miracles of healing and deliverance. In Pathumthani a lady called Mali was a spirit medium who was channeling some spirits that would not allow her to move out of the town or she would become deathly ill. After coming to Christ this lady was powerfully delivered, and God is using her to bring people to Christ through her testimony of deliverance. She is travelling all over the country with no ill effects, sharing about the power and love of God.
Last year we held five church-planting training events in the North, Northeast, Central and Western areas of Thailand; in the provinces of Chiangrai, Kampangpet, Mahasarakham, Samutsakon and Pathumthani. There were between 20 and 70 church-planters at each event. Out of those meetings, new churches were planted in 18 towns that previously had no churches at all; including some in Laos.
The number of new believers now actively following Jesus who came to Christ in these new churches during 2014 is 727. This includes 77 new believers in Pathumthani, 25 of these currently part of John’s church. We are training 12 young people to carry on the work in Pathumthani while we are doing our nation-wide church-planting ministry.
Please pray for Nok as she writes a new series of lessons on Following Jesus. She is also putting together a teaching manual that has all the commands and sayings of Christ. Both of us are very focused on teaching and discipling new believers, rather than just leading people to Christ. Our heart is for the nation of Thailand to be transformed by God’s power, through the followers of Christ.
