Report on Graduation Ceremony of Sewing Centre – Kasur

special day

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am pleased to share with you a report from the sewing centre in Kasur.

Introduction

EGM Pakistan successfully conducted the graduation ceremony of its sewing centre in Kasur, where 10 women completed six months of sewing training. This program is part of our ongoing efforts to empower women from underprivileged families by providing them with marketable skills that contribute to household income and self-reliance.

Graduation Ceremony Highlights

• Graduates: 10 women successfully completed the training program.
• Certificates & Gifts: Each graduate was awarded a certificate of completion along with gifts and sewing machines, enabling them to start their own home-based tailoring businesses.

Prayer & Encouragement

special dayPastor Manzoor Jalal prayed for the graduates, blessing their work and future endeavours. He encouraged the women to use their newly learned skills to support their families, become financially independent, and help others in their communities.

Program Management

The program in Kasur district is efficiently managed by Mr Akhtar Sandhu and his wife, who have been actively supervising the training sessions, monitoring progress, and ensuring a smooth graduation process.

Community Impact & Future Plans

learning new skills

The sewing centre has made a significant impact on the lives of these 10 women and their families by:
• Providing a sustainable source of income through sewing work.
• Restoring dignity and confidence among flood-affected women.
• Reducing financial dependency on daily wage labour or external aid.

Request for Expansion

Mr Akhtar Sandhu and his wife have formally requested more training centres to be opened in other villages of Kasur district. Many families in these areas have been affected by floods, and there is a strong need to equip more women with income-generating skills to rebuild their livelihoods.

Blessings and love
