Update from BHW Tanzania Partnership Facilitator

Recent Events

Activities

To be frank, nothing has happened here since the last report more than a year ago. The key next step is for BHW personnel to get to this place and make a new plan and this has been hampered by our inability to travel due to COVID-19 related restrictions.

During the last year we have been in regular communication with Fabian, the main contact person. Most recently he indicated that the village people have lost hope that we will be coming back. This is understandable. 

We have also been in contact with Water Mission based in Dar es Salaam and we need to ascertain if they would be interested in becoming involved in this project. Without people like them involved it will be very difficult to turn this around into a successful outcome. 

 

Plans for the Future
The latest thinking is that BHW personnel will try to get there as soon as possible in 2022 having made contact with Water Mission to formulate a new plan.
