My Ministry
In the midst of the pandemic I took the opportunity to share the Word of God. I went to visit a friend who was passing through difficult moments as she has a son who has cancer. I tried to encourage her with the Word of God. Her father said, “you are like this because of your sin” and these words aren’t encouraging in any way. He also said, “I’m not going to help you anymore”.
I am thankful for my sister in Christ, Antonia, who encouraged me to travel to the jungle and leave confinement. During the trip God looked after me. I met up with Antonia in Pichanaki and together we arrived at the community. The people watched us from afar believing we had the virus. We taught the children and the adults and celebrated Christmas with our Ashaninka brothers and sisters despite the difficulties of getting there due to a lot of mud. Our native brothers and sisters say to us, “stay here and don’t ever leave, we don’t have time and we need more people to help us”.
Personal Life
After passing through the months of the pandemic I was feeling a depression where I wasn’t able to go out into the streets because I had a fear of being infected by the virus. I give thanks to God for His mercy and His faithfulness. I am grateful to the Segadores family and other brothers and sisters who give me encouragement to strengthen me. The Segadores workers visited me during the pandemic and gave me a lot of encouragement.
Family
I give thanks to God that my sisters are well. During the pandemic I was staying with my cousin who is older like me.
1) That God will provide us with transport to be able to go to other communities, taking the Word of hope.
2) That God will protect me so that I don’t get the COVID virus.
3) That God will guide me to a good dentist to fix my teeth.
I am grateful to God for giving me my life and for you who have not forgotten us and are praying for us and supporting us.
God bless you all
Cristina
