I would like to tell you about our latest project, Gifts for elders and Celebration Event. We did this between 13 – 16 April 2018.
There are two parts to this project. First, on 12-15 April we sent 10 couples to visit old people in three villages who were confined to their bed because they cannot walk and have poor eyesight. Altogether 119 families heard about Jesus and learnt that the Holy Spirit can be compared to the importance of water in our life.
Three sick people got healed immediately. One man could stand up and raise his hand after prayer. One women could bend her back down. She has never been able to do that for more than 10 years. One woman had Myoclonus but after prayer her mouth stop jerking and she is still healed. We followed up after 10 days and heard more testimonies. One woman saw clearly within 7 days. Many people got partially healed from their sickness - some 30% and 60%. In our village 26 families came to Christ and 35 families in other villages.
The send part of the project was a celebration event at the temple. In the past this temple never had people to celebrate the Thai New Year. But this year we had a great opportunity as the abbot and committee at the temple asked us to do blessing ceremonies for old people. So John gave a gift to six monks and we invited the head of the village to give gifts to the old people. The committee also gave me (Nok) the opportunity to say something about our ministry. We shared our testimonies and invited them to join our meeting and if they want us to visit their family they can contact the followers of Jesus in our village.
