Report from Nabin Darlami (July-September 2021)

Dear all SOWERS & BHW partners in our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ, it is my great privilege to visit with you all via this report.

Recent Events

Activities

catching upI (yellow shirt) am continuing to meet with church leaders and doing follow-up with the evangelists for further work. The situation is still not easy to travel from one place to another because of the pandemic situation. Nowadays, we are meeting in cell groups with careful conditions and we are not allowing free travel from place to place even in own nation. We are trying to do fellowship in church and in working together in cell groups.

We are having committee meetings for further planning to Go, Sow and Grow for God’s kingdom in Nepal. We have prayer teams and evangelist teams in different districts of the Nation. We are planning to give other trainings to the volunteer teams for the different church groups so they will go to share the gospel among many villages to save lost souls. People are suffering from demon spirits and getting sick from coronavirus, and many of them are coming in contact to hear the good news about Jesus Christ. People are discouraged and they have no future hope in their life. God’s people deliver hope and seeds of life for them. If they believe in Christ and receive healing blessings continue. God is moving and the Holy Spirit is doing great miracles in their lives.

Baptisms

taking the next stepI have included some pictures from events that I did in recent months. Basically, we visited some leaders for further planning and we prayed in teams regarding the future. Our SOWERS have established new churches and some members became ready to take water baptism. I visited Dhanigad village church where they were ready to take baptism class and water baptism. There were 14 believers who were baptised.

I visited the next branch church too for baptism class and baptism program. I stayed there two days and it was a blessed time. I taught from the word of God about baptism in basic points to the 12 persons in Life Light Church. They took baptism in the name of the triune God.

taking the next stepThis term I visited and encouraged two churches which were established by SOWERS evangelists. I preached a message from the word of God and encouraged them to dedicate their lives into God’s hand and to win more souls among their neighbours. Following this I slept and was on bed rest for 18 days because coronavirus affected my body. My three relatives passed away from this world and entered into God’s eternal kingdom. They finished their race in this world. One was a pastor and another was an elder of the same church. They were my own relatives and they were doing ministry in the branch church. I started to do God’s work after a week when I was free from COVID-19. However, the situation is not free in the nation of Nepal because coronavirus is growing everywhere and we are under the situation at all times.

Income Generation

Recently we have started looking after quail birds and some local chickens. They are growing and giving us a new experience. We have 50 quail birds and 30 local chickens which are giving eggs. We are selling these to generate income to assist with the financial support of further training and ministries.

Family

serving GodMy wife’s health situation is good in His grace more than historical times. She was in harm injure ill about abdominal stomach because she got infection and hard pain. She was almost ready for operation for it but her health problem solved without operation and she got healing miracles from God’s people prayer answer even used medical doctors too that was way of blessings in her life. Nowadays my wife is free from sickness so does not needed medical line medicine. We couple are pleased with all prayer partners under the help of SI from your faithfulness praying for my family and God’s work in Nepal. We are looking forward to new ways to serve in God’s kingdom beyond 2021 as SI is giving individual guidelines and direction for serving method but to serve the same God and His work. My children are also preparing their life for God’s work to help us for good news sharing so I am proud in it.

Personal Stories

Sarita Salami is a 15-year-old girl. She has suffered since she was 13 years of age and was initially taken to witch doctors in the village. Her problem was whole body pains and sometimes she had issues with her brain and became unconscious. They sacrificed chickens and lambs to god and goddesses but it was not working. Her problem was growing day by day and she was getting worse and very thin in weight. Her parents took her to medical doctors too. Doctors also did diagnoses and suggested to use medicines but nothing worked in her life. This whole family were worried for Sarita and there was not any more hope for them.

transformed lifeOur sister Gauri Khamcha is a SOWERS evangelist in her village. She went to visit her and shared the Good News about Jesus Christ. She prayed for her four times in a week at their allowing. Sarita was healed and started to eat and walk by herself so all her family decided to accept Christ and joined the church during lockdown time seven months ago. She and her mother were baptised last month. Her father is in India for work to earn money. Her father also accepted Christ so maybe he will be baptised after he comes back home one day.

Plans for the Future

I intend to keep the same ministry plan and goal and although I cannot set dates at the moment, when the time comes then I will continue smoothly as I have planned in the past month. The third wave of coronavirus is appearing in Nepal too so the Nepalese government is not allowing people to do seminars and workshops again currently. I am praying to continue conducting seminars for Nepali churches to Go, Sow and Grow. I am focusing to establish churches in the mountain and Himalayan districts of our nation. I want to visit church leaders to give seminars to their churches’ evangelists as was the vision and provision since past times. I want to live my life to conduct seminars for other countries churches too in Asia. I am looking forward to running seminars for churches as they are inviting me but the corona influence on the situation is a problem again.

I want to continue my plan to go to native people to save them in Christ. There is a tribe called Raute who lives in the forest. I am praying for them and it is a challenge to bring Christ to them. There are around 300 members in their community. I will not forget this vision to share the gospel with them even though the cost is high to go among them. They never cultivate nor live in a stable way. We are not able to go and visit them without supplying big gifts. They change their living place every three months. If any of their members die in their living place they change their living place immediately even before three months. They make different types of home using wood and exchange with grains among other societies and the market. Monkey is their most liked meat. They never study and none from their tribe has gone to school. Going to school and studying is a crime for these tribes. No-one has accepted Christ yet from those community people. The Nepal government and NGO/INGO are trying to develop them by providing education and good settlement in their society but nobody is having success to change their lifestyle. They never allow their girls to marry with other tribes but it is allowed for their men to marry women from other tribes. These tribal people are totally different so I am focusing to pray and win these souls to Christ. It is a challenge and I am praying for them to come to Christ, so pray please for us.

I would also like to remind you about Binod Gurung, Shila Shahu, and Nimraj Jaisee who have graduated from Bible College with a Master of divinity degree.  I would like to see them as volunteer staff in different districts and provinces of Nepal, so continue to pray for them so we can do more work in God’s kingdom together.

Comments

I am grateful for SOWERS International executive board members for giving me the special privilege to participate for God’s kingdom. I am learning and collecting more experience in my life for God’s provision.
