Letters from BHW Sponsored Students

Melissa Aquino

Good day! Another semester has ended and I can say that this semester was the season of deadlines, from our thesis down to our major subjects. The fourth year was a challenging year as I look back but I thank God for guiding me all the way here. The Lord has always guided me in all my activities especially in school and at church. I have had lots of ups and downs during the past year, 2017.

God indeed has His surprising plans and He let me experience a seminar I attended in November 2017 entitled "Disclipling Kids" which was facilitated by Church Strengthening Ministry. With this summit God gave us an insight and wonderful ideas to make the children's ministry more memorable, easy to understand, and creative by doing the arts and crafts. Of course all of these are anchored through the Gospel that Jesus loves them, Jesus did on the cross and rose again after three days to redeem us from our sins. I never knew that I'll be teaching 13-15 year old children together with my co-leader Carlo because before I used to teach children age 4-6 years old. This is a big transition but I believe that God is always guiding us in whatsoever we do.

Another semester is going to open this 2018 and this is the last semsester of my fourth year, after this will be my graduation day! Again, I'm asking for your prayers for me to achieve my dreams for this last five months. I can't wait to walk on stage, receive my diploma and accept this achievement for God, my parents, and of course for my sponsors as well that made this dream possible for me.

Pray also that I would get a job after our commencement exercises so that I would be able to help those who want to study as well but lack the financial ability to do so. Pray for our country, Philippines. I will also not forget to pray for you, to let God continually bless you with a long and fruitful life. Thank you again and God bless you all.

Greetings! I would like to express my gratitude by writing this letter. You have shown your sincere kindness by lending a hand in my education and wellbeing. Your sponsorship gives me a great opportunity in my life.

I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you about my current situation concerning my studies. Presumably you're wondering why I'm still studying when I'm supposed to be finished in my studies. I am sorry to tell you that my graduation was delayed because of unexpected circumstances. Our school administration (COMTEQ Computer and Business College) didn't credit some of my taken units at my former school (Columban College) and I also have left units or subjects that are needed to be taken. Hence, my school administration decided to let me take another year for me to be able to graduate.

However, despite this occurence I'm very grateful that you've continually supported my financial needs. I can say that I am truly blssed to have you as my sponsor. On behalf of my family and myself, I pour out my humble thanks.

Thank you and may the good Lord bless you always!

Good day! How are you? I'm fine. It's been a long time since my last letter. I  want to share my last vacation and my schooling.

Me and my auntie with my siblings went to another province to spend our summer vacation. My grandmother and grandfather were very excited to see us. But sad to say, my grandfather has an illness that makes him weak, so me and my siblings helped by grandmother with house duties. We helped in washing the clothes, washing the dishes and cleaning the house. My grandfather went to the hospital because he has difficulty to move. My auntie decided that he must be taken to the hospital because my grandmother was too old to take care of him. After a few days, thanks to the Lord, because my grandfather gets well and his health improves. Me and my siblings decided to return to our true home because we had upcoming activities in our school and church.

We, the Cappuccino scholars, conduct a retreat camp in Bulacan. Me and the other scholars were happy because of the activities that happened during the camp. All the activities were fun, and all of those action was with God's presence. After the camp, we, the scholars, started a friendship. I am proud to say that I have many friends.

Now, I am a third-year college student taking up the course Bachelor of Science to study now compared to last year. But don't you worry, I will do my best to pass this - I promise that. I will become a degree holder and become a professional someday.

God bless!
