great opportunitySchool Outreaches

School Outreaches will be held in MahaSarakom, northeast Thailand from 3-7 August. The Team will work with local churches, and go with them to 10 schools. They will all be Buddhist state schools, many on temple grounds, and in towns / villages where most people won’t have heard about Jesus. The Team will really need prayer backing for every day this week. Three of the trainees who were in the Team’s training program in June (Oat, Pon and Nut) will go to help with these outreaches, and also Tosaporn who helps with FahSai House. Please pray for them as well, and for protection for them and all in the Team.

Pray that the seed which is planted will grow without obstruction, and that God’s Spirit will continue working in the children's hearts.

reaching lots of kidsNew Booklet

Thanks for continuing to pray for each one working on this Booklet. The Team is behind schedule in work on this so again this month it will be a priority. Can you please make it a prayer priority and pray for each Team member who is involved. They are very aware of how much they need God’s guidance in this and His creativity and inspiration. Doi, Jeen, Dang and Tosaporn are writing stories and articles, and NoiNon and Dang do all the artwork involved.

We are very aware that up to a million children will read this booklet, and for many it will be their first time to learn about Jesus.

Children Doing Lessons

Always a prayer priority - as many are in communities where they are the only ones seeking to follow the Lord. Please pray for each child and especially those who face opposition because of their faith. Pray also for God’s love and wisdom to flow through each Team member as they reply to children’s letters and seek to help them grow in the Lord.

Keep praying for all who do the lessons, for God to make His truth real to them and draw them to Himself.

Team Members

Please pray for each Team member – for God’s blessing on each part of their lives.

Corin is doing Bible College part time – pray for God to help him with all this involves.

New Team Members: Please keep praying for this need and for God’s guidance in this.

Personal Stories

keen to studyPhusit (boy, 14):
One night, I dreamt that I couldn’t move…as if someone came and held down my arms. I had trouble breathing, and when I spoke, no sound came out. In my dream I started to worship God, and I began to feel better. Then I saw a black, coarse hand in front of me. I was very frightened and began to shout loudly for Jesus to help me, and then suddenly, I woke up. After I woke up, I began to thank Jesus for being with me and helping me. I believe that it (the evil spirit) is afraid of Jesus. Now I’ve moved to live with my father in Chonburi. One thing I’d like you to pray for is for my father to believe in God.

Petchara (girl, 15):
I really want to thank Jesus. I wanted so much to go to High school, but thought it could never happen because my family is very poor, and I have 5 siblings. But I was praying to Jesus for His help. A miracle happened! The school counselor called me to her office and said if I wanted to go to high school I should sit an entrance exam at a High School and then see if I can get an educational loan through that school. I began to have hope. I talked to my parents about it and they had no objections. So I took that exam and I got in. I kept praying and 2 months later, the school told me an education loan was approved. I was very happy, and my parents are too. That’s why I want to thank Jesus for helping me.

When I did the lessons, I found that God loves everyone because we are all His children. He doesn’t look at whether we are good or bad, but He loves us unconditionally. I feel touched by this kind of love.

Anocha (girl, 22):
I did your lessons when I was younger. Now I go to PathumThani Church and my mother does too. She’s a motorcycle taxi driver. She was in debt and that worried her, but the lenders always let her borrow more without interest and weren’t asking for money back. One day, Pastor Nok came to ask how much was owed. My mother calculated everything and it came to 95,000 baht. That made us afraid. Then Nok said that Mr Lee, a Korean man in our church, was praying and three times God spoke my mother’s name ‘Sumruai’. Mr Lee felt this meant he should help her. Then his wife said God spoke to her too and told her how much money they should give. So Mr Lee paid the debt. My mother is really thanking God for His help. She has decided not to borrow again as she knows we are in God’s Kingdom now.
